Laser Dentistry in Bryn Mawr, PA
Bryn Mawr Periodontal Associates, Ltd., use only the most progressive techniques in dentistry. Advancements in the field have streamlined the surgery and healing process of many procedures.
Dental lasers are an excellent example of these advancements. Procedures that this tool is used for can often be done without anesthesia. Laser dentistry is naturally anti-bacterial and minimizes healing time.
Laser dentistry is an advantageous addition to many treatments. It targets harmful bacteria and dead tissue on a molecular level. It not only leaves healthy tissue unscathed but encourages it to regrow and flourish. When patients receive a laser-assisted dental procedure from our office, they can be certain they’re receiving top-notch care.
The Laser Procedures We Provide
Our office utilizes three different types of dental laser techniques that are the epitome of dental science:
LAPIP stands for “laser-assisted peri-implantitis procedure.” In rare cases, infection along the gum line can invade the bone surrounding a dental implant. LAPIP is a preferable alternative to standard peri-implantitis treatments. Standard treatments require cutting and bone grafting, or starting over and removing and replacing the implant. With the use of lasers, the implant is saved and patients are returned to normal much faster.
LANAP stands for “laser-assisted new attachment procedure” and is the best way to treat periodontitis. It not only removes dead tissue and harmful bacteria but stimulates healthy tissue to regrow. Because the laser only harms unhealthy tissue, our team at Bryn Mawr can restore the health of their patients without pain or side-effects.
BIOLASE Waterlase is a gentle yet effective alternative to a multitude of tools. This technique combines air, laser, and water to perform an array of dental procedures. This laser system can prepare cavities, removes caries, and excavate pits and fissures for placement of sealants
We at Bryn Mawr Periodontal Associates, Ltd., are proud to offer only the highest quality of care possible. Our laser-assisted techniques streamline periodontal procedures and help our patients get back to smiling quicker.
